About Cardiac Crews
Cardiac Crews is a national nonprofit established in 2020 dedicated to ending heart disease and supporting Cardiovascular Health, through our Cardiac Challenges.
We are committed to advancing innovative therapeutic and novel diagnostics to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease while encouraging healthy cardiovascular activities.
Don and Stephanie Mayack have been passionate about CHD research and advocacy since having their heart warrior Aria in 2015. During the anatomy scan at 20 weeks pregnant, Stephanie was referred for a fetal echocardiogram, which is where Aria was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. After learning as much as we could about her congenital heart defect, we decided we needed to do more to help. We didn’t know much about CHDs before Aria’s diagnosis. While learning about Arias’s condition, we learned that CHD research is severely underfunded, which is when we knew we wanted to do everything we could to support their research funding efforts."

After deciding to start a foundation, The Mayacks reached out to Ed Koury, a lifelong childhood friend who specializes in marketing and website development. Ed has been involved with a variety of nonprofits and fundraising events over the years, and saw this as an opportunity to get more involved with his friend's cause.

The University of Michigan is at the forefront of cardiovascular research, and it is where Aria gets her yearly care.
With your help, we can support more warriors and secure additional research funding.

Mission/Vision
To encourage Heart Disease survivors and supporters to remain physically active and fundraise to provide research that focuses on advancing innovative therapeutic and novel diagnostics to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.
